Fancy a great fall go-to piece that you can wear over and over again? Invest in a snug knit skirt and wear it with tees, shirts, sweaters and jackets - depending how warm or cold the weather gets. I'm on a hunt for a midi version that will look awesome with black tights and shirts.

Nifty Spinach Tip


Let's start this week with a nifty little storage tip, shall we? If like myself, you are hooked on morning smoothies, then you probably have spinach in your fridge, right? Well, according to Jessica, the best way to keep big quantities of Popeye's favourite snack fresher for much (much) longer is by storing the whole lot in an airtight jar in the fridge.

Cheers to Friday the 13th, are you superstitious? What are your plans for the weekend? On my end, it's been a busy couple of days, catching up on everything after my parents' visit. Top Freelancer Tip

It’s simple really, but in my opinion, the only way for freelancers (like myself) to cope with cabin fever, especially during the cooler seasons, is to own a dog.

Hear me out, besides having a constant cuddle-buddy, your dog will get you out of the house a couple times a day, which means you have to get dressed, make yourself look like a human, maybe even put proper pants on :) and you get to enjoy a little breather.

Whatever the weather, each time I’m looking forward to take Jenny out, because it means a break, a way to disconnect and be in the moment. What I find most fascinating about those walks is that they give me perspective on my work and after I'm back to my screen, everything I couldn't figure out before, just falls into place...

Also, as Tanya says, they give you a sense of purpose, which is nice when you spend tons of time working on your own...

Bouquet-a-Day











In 2013, Juliane Strittmatter and her partner moved to a small farm near Hässleholm in Sweden. After they settled in, Juliane started a little daily routine of taking a walk outside just to get to know her new surrounding and ended up picking wildflowers as a creative outlet.

After a while this became her favourite little task and a tiny daily meditation that she looked forward to. Now she documents her small bouquets on her feed and they are totally swoonworthy. Check it out

Yay! It's Wednesday Cake!

So good to be back! How is everyone doing? Did you have a good (long) weekend? We had a fun-filled week-off with my parents, but I am so ready to get back to normal routine. And guess what? Today is Wednesday, so it means it's a cake day...only this time, it's more like energy balls day :)

Have you tried Ella's energy balls yet? Oh my goodness, Balazs and I can't get enough of all the variations, but our favourite is the cinnamon and honey mix. I made them last Wednesday, so my mom could try them too and she was totally impressed by how delicious and healthy they are. So, if you fancy a little pick-me-up, make them tonight, because Wednesdays deserve something a little bit more special:)

Cinnamon and Honey Energy Bits
(Recipe by Ella Woodward from Deliciously Ella Every Day cookbook. Makes 15-20 balls, depending on size) 

- 125 grams (7/8 cup) cashews
- large handful of pumpkin seeds
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/2 cup  (100 grams) of medjool dates, pitted
- 3 teaspoons honey
- 2 teaspoons almond butter
- 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Start by placing cashews, pumpkin seeds and chia seeds in your food processor. Blend for 1 minute, until the seeds and the nuts have crumbled, but have not yet become flour.

Then add dates, honey, almond butter and cinnamon and blend until it becomes nice and sticky. Use your hands to roll the mixture into little balls, place in a bowl or a jar in the freezer for 1 hour to set, then store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. Enjoy!
